Goulburn, Australia -- The New Zealand branch of World Poultry Science Association (WPSA) recently held its biannual two-day conference in New Plymouth, New Zealand in October 2018. This was proudly supported by Aviagen ANZ and attracted one hundred and sixteen attendees from across all fields of the poultry industry.
The conference was segmented into three sessions each day and was led by a group of eighteen recognized, guest speakers from eleven different countries who were invited to share their experience, research findings and expertise with the industry attendees.
The comprehensive program covered a wide range of interesting topics for the industry which included low protein diets for poultry: issues and challenges, hot topics and poultry health. The next day commenced with optimizing nutrient utilization for poultry, followed by poultry production and public perception which included a social media conversation about animal agriculture and closed with a range of general topics for the industry.
